A former two times senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ifeanyi Godwin Araraume, Saturday commissioned an electricity generating transformer he donated to the people of Amaraku community in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area, LGA, of Imo State.

Senator Araraume who represented Imo North senatorial district in the Nigerian Senate chamber between 1999-2007, had in February 2016, donated the transformer and facilitated its installation for the people of the community.

Some leaders of the community had paid a courtesy visit to the senator wherein amongst other demands, requested the ex lawmaker to rescue them from perpetual community darkness and total blackout.

At the commissioning ceremony which had in attendance the traditional ruler of the community, other community leaders, women, men, youths and politicians, senator Araraume said that the installation of the electricity generating technology was promise made and fulfilled.
The politician averred that Amaraku is a strategic community in the state which ought not to be lacking in any basic social amenity.

Senator Araraume urged the rich in the society to help their communities and individuals, adding that God blesses a giver.
