Channels TV Correspondent in Owerri, Imo State, Eyitope Kuteyi, who was reportedly kidnapped by yet to be identified gunmen has regained his freedom.

The journalist was reportedly abducted in the early hours of Sunday April 10, 2016 in his house in Owerri, the state capital by stern looking armed men believed to be kidnappers.

News later went in circulation that his abductors established contacts, demanding a whopping 15 million Naira as ransom for his release.

It is now confirmed that Kuteyi has regained his freedom in a telephone conversation on Wednesday April 13, 2016, with the Channels TV Correspondent who was grateful to God, disclosing that he was not hurt.
