X-Busta signs for Valencia Records

According a report on www.sweetnaijamusic.com which was published on August 7, 2015, Imo State born rapper Xbusta has parted ways with Valencia Records whom he signed for on Thursday, March 6, 2014.
The report which also said that the contract was terminated based on mutual consent has been called a sham by a spokesperson for the record label.

According to Deejay Saquo who spoke to www.otowngist.com on the issue, the label has never had any meeting with XBusta or his lawyer with regards to the termination of the contract and there would be no way the contract the rapper signed just last year would be abruptly terminated without his knowledge as the manager of the label.
The report further revealed what it regarded as ‘Take Over Time (TOT) project’ on which XBusta is working and it quoted the rapper as saying “am [SIC] working on completing the album and putting more singles out, with more videos”. It also said that the contract termination will not affect his TOT Project, while also announcing the release of a new single. TOT is the album the artiste is working  on according to the report.
With Deejay Saquo refusing to say more on the disciplinary action the label will be taking against the rapper for putting out such press release, the release could also be seen as a publicity stunt for the promotion of Xbusta’s forthcoming single.

 X-Busta signs for Valencia Records

A fan of the rapper who we spoke to on the developement said “If the press release was a joke, it is a very expensive one because the rapper was ill advised. He should go to the label and find a way to terminate the contract if what Deejay Saquo said is true. He should look at the likes of Kelly Hansome and others who have walked in that path to see that it did them more harm than good. Going back to the drawing board with the lable is the only option for ‘X’, these expensive jokes won’t help at all” he said.
Saquo who only said that there would be time for every action did not specifically say when the label would strike, but is certain that the rapper has gone against the contract which is supposed to run out in 2018.
So far XBusta has released some singles without the signature of the label and for someone as wise as he could be, his lawyer should be warmingly with his defense points because no one knows when Valencia Records would strike.
