The Imo State Chapter of Madonna University Alumni Association, (MUAA), has called on all her members who are residing in Imo State to brace themselves for the change the association is going to see henceforth.
This call was made by the chapter President, Barr. Modestus Mahakwe Madu during the last meeting of the association at Junic Recreation Centre Owerri on Sunday, June 14, 2015.

Barr. Madu called on all graduates of Madonna University residing in Imo State to embrace the association as a way they can still keep tabs with the community that made them who they are.
“We are building a community that will soon take off in the country, because the achievements of our members around the world are no longer secrets.
He also disclosed that MUAA has great people who are doing well in their various disciplines and endeavours and it would be very great to have everyone aboard. With them, we can only get better and there will be no limit to what we can achieve especially when it comes to making sure that we have the best state chapter in the country”.
In a release after the meeting, the secretary of the ASSOCIATION, Miss. Nelly Obi said that Imo State Chapter of Madonna University Alumni Association will no longer be business as usual because they have lined up special activities that will educate, entertain as well as keep her members in shape.
Miss Obi said the move is aimed at making the association what every member wants it to be and also seeing that it becomes the best state chapter in the country.
She said the association has lined up seminars, tours, excursions and a wonderful end of the year get-together as events that will reshape the Alumni Association in Imo State.
She then called on those who have been avoiding the associations meetings to wake up and start attending because it will be for their own interest.
Miss. Obi also cited the welfare benefits of being a member of the association as well the family life that have kept the members together as one of the things new members stand to benefit when they come.
The president, Barr. Madu also used the meeting as an opportunity to thank members of the association and the National Executives for attending the burial of his father en masse, adding that the entire members of his family are grateful, while urging them to keep up with that kind of solidarity as it is one of the reasons for which the association was formed.
He also condoled with the National Vice President, Mr. Voke Emore on the death of his father Late Chief Patrick U. Emorewho was also buried on Saturday, May 22, 2015 at Abraka, Delta State, the same day, his father was buried at Amuzi, Ahiara Mbaise, Imo State.
