According to the Igbo Eze North Local Government Area, Enugu State born musician, his album will be more of proving a point and also to show the world what else he can do.
Speaking to www.otowngist.com recently, he said “all my life in the music world, I have been known as a drummer and a producer in Onitsha where I have my studio. No one believes I could sing or even go to the extent of having an album to my name.
It would be wrong to say that no one gave me the chance to do this because I am supposed to take by myself which is what I have done right now.
I want to show people that C. Williams or Legal Beats, is just more than the guy behind the drums or on the other side of the recording booth.
I want to approach music my own way and that’s why I titled the album ‘The other side’. This title will speak every language anyone needs in this music.”
‘The Other Side’ which was self-produced by C. Williams according to him also has touches from Kings Music producer Ceejay, Port Harcourt based XP Chux and JP who is based in Onitsha.
Getting the opportunity to work with Kings Music according him, is another exciting opportunity he is looking forward to explore and with just few touches on some of the tracks remaining, C. Williams is optimistic that the album which is a mixture of genres will be a huge success in the gospel music world.
“Many would have been stuck on one genre, but I can do it all. Nothing stops me from having something for everyone in the album and that is what people should expect when they eventually have a copy of ‘The Other Side’ in their hands.
The album has the traditional gospel music [ariara], R&B worship tracks and hip-hop. These and more are the strengths of the album and we are working hard to see that every channel is put in place to make the album a huge a success” he said.
So far, he revealed that the record is yet to set a release date for the album, but believes it will me anytime soon.
