On the 30th April 2015, Founder and Executive Producer of Imo Fashion Entertainment Award, Chibuzo Nwadike (CEO Hugo inc concepts) publicly announced the closure of Nomination for the debut edition of THE IMO FASHION ENTERTAINMENT AWARDS after a board meeting with the IFEAwards Team at the Imo International Convention Centre Owerri.
After the nominations which lasted for more than 2 months (February – April), the nomination list were reviewed by a panel consisting of entertainment and fashion professionals with a broad array of knowledge, experiences and backgrounds. And the final list of nominees were gathered.
The screen goddess, Genevieve Nnaji was nominated under the category of “Imo Pride” alongside fellow actress Rita Dominic and Nkeiru Sylvanus.
Yayo crooner, Phyno got in under the category of “Best Artiste” which also has his former label mates Runtown and illbliss.
The online guru, Miss Linda ikeji graced the categories of “Outstanding blog of the year” and “fashionable ICT Best Creative” which also has strong headed blogs and ICT personals all on the same category.
On the category of “Best Female Artiste” which is rated the most controversial category has Cynthia Morgan, Yemi Alade, Waje, Chidimma and Stormrex as the top five finalists.
Winner of the Most Beautiful Face in imo 2015, Miss Chimuanya Nwakaeze was also nominated on the category of “Best Female Model”, alongside former Miss Imo, Miss Samantha Ubani, Sandra Korie (Now Miss Imo tourism 2015), Innocentia Agbanaeje (Most beautiful face in Imo tourism) and the video vixen, Juliet Achebe who also graced the same category.
Voting for IFE Awards commences on the 9th of May 2015 and ends on the first week of September. It is scheduled to hold on the 26th September 2015 at the capital city of Owerri.
