Even as some political parties who lost woefully in the now concluded but still controversial general election are repositioning, to pick their pieces, from where they crashed out albeit disastrously the crises ridden Imo State chapter of the APGA is once more engulfed in a crisis of confidence and personality clashes.
On one hand is Capt. Emma Ihenacho, the erstwhile governorship candidate of the party and Barr. Peter Ezeobi, its embattled state chairman and the House of assembly candidates who have blamed Ihenacho of the poor outing, stating that he never had the “enormous capacity” which he earlier claimed to have.

According to reports reaching our news desk, the two have fallen apart and at the point of going for each other’s jugular while the 15 house of assembly candidates are seriously regrouping to challenge Ihenacho’s leadership of the party for causing them mass defeat. The crises have been attributed to irreconcilable differences between the two.
The bone of contention is the accusation that whereas Capt. Emma Ihenacho and Hon Mrs Marria Mbanuzuo,Mama Uwa Ideato South LGA had entered into a romance with Owelle Rochas Okorocha through which millions of naira were said to have exchanged hands to make sure that Okorocha does not lose the re-election, Capt. Ihenacho yesterday at the Egbu Road APGA secretariat accused Barr. Peter Ezeobi and 15 House of Assembly candidates of the party of entering into an unholy alliance with Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha to scuttle Capt.  Ihenacho’s prospects of winning the governorship election without knowing that the duo had aready gotten wind of the deal between Ihenacho and the APC guber candidate. At the state executives meeting, yesterday also Ihenacho who was visibly angry over the alleged betrayal by a man he single handedly imposed on the party as state Chairman, told the former NDDC State Commissioner from Oguta LGA off, and referred to him as a fraudster and lacking in integrity.
He dismissed Barr. Peter Ezeobi as a black leg and vowed never to have anything to do with him again politically. It was also authoritatively revealed that the APGA House of Assembly members had on the eve of the governorship election dumped Ihenacho and cub raced Ihedioha who allegedly made millions of naira available for them to work for his victory. The money was part of the alleged 2 million he exchanged at Ama Hausa on Thursday April 12, 2015 to enable them settle their loyalists. Most of the affected APGA candidates instead of working for Ihedioha as promised pocketed the cash and abandoned their followers who sell for Okorocha’s jollof rice and beef served at the polling booths.
Meanwhile, according to our source, Ihenacho has concluded plans with Chief Victor Umeh to replace Barr peter Ezeobi with the erstwhile acting Chairman, Barr Chudi Onuzo whom he described as one of his confidants that never questioned his authority nor decisions in the party including the resolve to tacitly support the APC candidate, Owelle Rochas Okorocha all through the electioneering period.
