US Based Nigerian Doctor, Fortunate Egbuchere shoots first movie

As they say that talent can never be hidden, so has is come to play in the life of a United States of American based Nigerian doctor, Fortunate Egbuchere who is on the verge of making his acting dream come true in a fresh movie titled ‘Two Bother’.

Dr. Fortunate Egbuchere who started at the medical school of Madonna University Okija before moving abroad to complete his studies, said he is so happy to see his dream of owning a movie and also acting in one coming through

Dr. Egbuchere who is also a younger brother to a veteran Nollywood Director of photograph, actor and singer Prince Hollywood said he could have started acting while in Nigeria but never did because of his tight academic schedule at the Medical School at Madonna University would never permit that.

“I never had that time and I sure got some invitations from my brother because he knew I could do it. I still hooked myself up with some things in the school drama troupe and it was so much fun for me because that was just the only time I had to express myself in the presence of people.

As a practicing doctor, it is not also easy, but sometimes you just have to do what you have to do to be happy. Acting is in my veins and doing it now makes me happy and I feel like I have found a part of me that’s been missing”

The movie which has Gallywood star, Frank Artus; Nollywood’s Chigozie Atuanya, Dr. Fortunate Egbuchere, Sonia Sesay. Muhammad Bah, Mary Onime, Ada Ezeafulukwe, Hope Idowu and other USA based Nigerian stars, is about two brothers who are separated by wealth and choice to do good and evil with the result being that one will have to arrest the other to keep his Job as an FBI agent.

With the story written by award winning, Joe Odudu, who also wrote the veteran Nollywood movie, Igodo, Dr. Fortunate believes the movie which is being shot in Houston Texas USA, will not end up in the shelves, but one that will surely find its way into the hearts of many around the world.

“I believe in every member of the crew. I know we are not just making an ordinary movie because every day on set seemed like I am watching my dream on a TV.

I believe the movie will be a great one, because it is based on a great story which is played out by wonderful actors and actresses and I feel so great being a part of this.

Acting is a hobby that will live on in me and after this movie, I know I will still have more work to see that I get to the highest level possible by the special Grace of God”


According to Dr. Fortunate, ‘Two Brothers’ will be premiered in the USA IN 2015.
