A performing musician in Imo state, Goodtims Opara with the stage name G-tims has cleared those doubting his capabilities to carry on in the industry that his best in the music industry is yet to come.
G-Tims who is also the secretary of Imo State Contemporary Musicians Association [ICMA] made the statement against the rumour that his career is ending prematurely without hitting the limelight.
He said that music comes with time and everyone has his time saying that people talking about him should look at themselves first.
“The industry is just like a ladder where people climb up and come down, no one stays on top forever, it might be me tomorrow or someone else but the most important thing is that we will keep working and improving in our areas of weakness.
For people who think they have seen my best, they should think again because it is yet to come. There is so much music in me that I have not gone half way on the musical resources God deposited in me.
I just believe in God in everything, because he is the giver of good music; others can do whatever they can to succeed but I will keep my hands clean because that is what God wants” He said.
G-Tims’ energy has shown in his stage performances and his sweet voice made many think he was copying Wizkid, something he denied recently saying he has been singing like that before WizKid was made.
He brushed aside the allegation by some artistes that he worked against them during Imo Carnival calling it a statement by the clueless people because he is sure that his interest is to see that ICMA is well represented any time any day.
He is known for his recent tracks ‘Party Lesson’ and ‘Be my Valentine’ with his voice recently shining in the track ‘Broad Day Light’ where he was featured by Mr. Fruitz.
