Aftermath of Carnival: Money Making rubbishes ICMA disintegration

Rapper, Money Making who is also the Vice President of Imo Contemporary Musicians Association [ICMA] has rubbished claims by some group of artistes that the happenings of Imo Carnival has made ICMA to see its end.
According to him, what happened during the 2014 Imo Carnival was unfortunate yet a divine intervention that has cleared every hedge stopping the association to be heard and ICMA will not relent in taking advantage of the path the carnival has opened to metamorphose into a formidable umbrella for Imo State artistes under the contemporary genres.

“Even though we are not fully satisfied with the outcome of the carnival, we can go home with the fact that we are no longer on a zero score in the state. Our voice was heard and that path has been opened. The next thing is for us to see that we are not just peeping through this path, but walk into it and see what we can do to better the lots of our members.
This is a struggle that has lasted more than a decade and some selfish individuals are trying to see that it does not stand because they want to be eating what belongs to everyone alone. We reject that as well as their rumours that ICMA has died.
ICMA is alive and we are working towards our official inauguration and other events. We urge our members to be calm because nothing has gone wrong yet”
On the N1.99m that went to artistes during the carnival, Money Making said the money never came to ICMA because there was no prior arrangement between ICMA and Imo State government urging members of the association to look beyond the monies of today and focus on the success of the future.
He also urged the members to support the excos of the association headed by Chinedu Hardy Nwadike because the change the state needs can never be achieved by one man. He then called on those who are making efforts to thwart the visions of ICMA to join the moving train that will bring change to everyone rather than be on the side that make everyone remain in the wilderness for more years when the land of Canaan is lying fallow because few people are living in it.
“We need to work towards changing things in our time; we need to come together and shake this state; we need one voice and the last time I checked, side talks and rumour mongering will never give us that loud voice” Money Making added.
