Photos: Methodist Youths hold 9th African Night in style

Youths of Orji Circuit in Methodist Church Nigeria, Orji Circuit in Diocese of Owerri have held the 9th edition of their annual praise night, tagged ‘African Night’ in style.
The event, which took place at St Silas Methodist Church Nigeria, Orji Uratta in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State on Friday July 11, 2014 was nothing less than what the organizers have planned.

Declaring the event open on behalf of the Circuit Presbyter, Very Rev J. A Mba, the Youth Fellowship President, Bro Chinedu Hardy Nwadike said that witnessing the 9th edition of the event was a testimony and hailed the past leaders of the fellowship who laid the foundation of the event 9 years ago.
“We are enjoying their efforts today because they started with nothing. God has made name for Himself in this event and many have been blessed through it.
The event has come to stay, and every year, we will be celebrating the goodness of God in our lives in the African way” Bro Nwadike said.
Singers Cruz and Mr Kyze put up a wonderful performance while gospel rapper Prince Dmaiyer thrilled with his ‘Chukwu No ebe a’.
In his charged, Rev Chidiebere Ogboso urged the youths to let God work through them to enable them be agents of change in the society.
Rev Ogboso stressed that change will never come if the youths do not make a move and only a sanctioned by God will give the right result.
He also said that except one gives his life to Jesus Christ, nothing will seem to be right and only youths with Jesus in their lives will be guaranteed as strong pillars of the nation because God will always be with them.
Other features include song and drama ministrations by the host circuits and other guests while Miss Jennifer Udoka and Master Thankgod Okafor emerged new Ada and Opara Africa respectively.
Handing over their sashes, the outgoing Ada and Opara Africa Miss Precious Nwankwo and Mater Chidindu Alozie expressed their joys in serving as Ada and Opara Africa for a year, urging the present winners to be good ambassadors of the circuit.
The event also witnessed a teaching on presentation of Kola nut by Chief Uzorma Onyema.
