It was sad news for Imo State and the entire Nigerian music industry this morning when the news of the death of Mbier, Mbaitoli LGA born singer, Cynthia Jonah aka Cynthomania broke out.
According to a certain blogger who broke the news, she died of a brief illness against the news moving around town that she lost her life in a motor accident.

Cynthomania who in her time as a singer did the song ‘Love Nwantinti’ with Timaya as well as other jobs of which the most recent was the track Ukwu Ajebota, which was released just last month.
Dubbed as Ada Owerri, the ‘Oringo’ crooner, who was also into fashion, will be missed dearly by her fans especially for her moves on stage.
Details emerging after the sad event which took place at about 1:00 pm in Lagos on June 18, 2014 has it that the singer who just returned from Owerri was complaining of not feeling okay after spending some time with friends in Lagos.
According to a source in her management, she asked the driver to take her to the hospital, and on reaching the hospital, the driver waited outside while she went in to see the doctor.
Cynthomania who was healthy in the sight of everyone before leaving for the hospital latter died after the doctor had called for emergency at about 1:00pm.
The source also has it that she died with white foam in her mouth and tears in her eyes.
So far, the doctors have not released the cause of her death and wading in, men of Nigerian Police have arrested her Personal Assistant and Boyfriend for questioning.
She will be remembered with songs like Imo State Ebeano, which made people call her a praise singer, an allegation she denied.
Her family however has confirmed her death, but are yet to make an official statement.
Her death comes weeks after gospel singer, Kefee gave up to the ghost and this will recycle the mourning mood in the Nigerian music industry.
