With LMG, X-Busta, Raydee, Dabrain, E-Black, Skutch, Redloaf and Gentle battling to win Artiste of the Year award at the second edition of E-Celeb Awards, it is expected to be a fierce battle between the artistes who have been canvassing for votes in the past months.
Achievement counts, while the fans will still have their part to play when the judges will be determining who goes home with the ultimate award for the night.
Skutch’s name will echo for ‘Ibonge’ which was a national hit, Gentle did well with his video playing up there in the best TV stations, while LMG impressed both lovers of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks with his mellow hit ‘One bottle’.
X-Busta was everywhere with the big boys and is still doing his thing till date, while Rayde’s ‘London Girl’ can never be written off.
Dabrain did good collabos with Regiz, E-Black proved to be a powerhouse in the dance-hall genre with some good hits and Redloaf who has always been a force to reckon with did his bit as well.
With these artistes having what it takes to walk home with the award, the question is thus, ‘Who will win?’ This is for the fans and the judges to decide.
For the Producer of the year award, Wisedon, Freelance, Somik and Sisyley have all been nominated in a list that looks tight from the beginning.
Wisedon did well and Frelance could be seen in Rayde’s London girl. Somik was behind some tracks by Floxy and most conspicuously on LMG’s ‘one bottle’ which also made LMG a contender for artiste of the year award and no matter how much you think you know, Sisyley will never be written off.
Other awards are Graphic Artiste of the year where Khala Designz, Franky Dot Com Designz, Naija Media and Yopy Designz were nominated.
Swimpy, Ugems, Jayboy, PrinceWhite, MC T-Boy, P-Smielz, Kay, Ryders and Treasure Gold will be battling it out for the Promising Entertainer of the year, an award for those who made great impact in the early stage of their career last year.
There will also be other recognitions to people who have done their bits for the industry one way to say thank you to deserving individuals.
The event is expected to be a show of glamour and fashion where the best of the in the entertainment industry of South-East Nigeria especially are expected to grace the red carpet in thrilling outfits.
The event is E-Celeb Awards, the venue is Valencia Lounge and Resorts Owerri and the time is 5:00pm.
