Cites his exemplary attributes as necessary for effective representation
Students of Isu LGA in Imo State, home town of Prof. Protus Uzorma, under the aegis of Federation of Isu Students Association (FISA) last Sunday April 13, 2014, called on their son, Prof Protus Uzorma, to contest for the Orlu Senatorial seat, come 2015.

The call, came during the inauguration of their newly elected executives which event held at the LGA headquarters at Umundugba. Speaking on behalf of Isu Students, the President, Orji Prince George, described Prof. Protus Uzorma as a mentor, and role-model who should be emulated by all the youths of Isu LGA. According to Orji it is not a surprise that Prof. Uzorma has excelled in his chosen career as an intellectual event at his youthful age judging from the fact that he has a pedigree of hard work perseverance.
Besides, he explained that Orlu Senatorial District will be taken to a higher level with the likes of Prof. Protus Uzorma as Senator who will bring his wealth of knowledge, international exposure and research works at the disposal of the upper chamber of the National Assembly, senate.
Orji also felt convinced that Prof Uzorma will tower far above his contemporaries following his antecedents as one who readily identifies with the yawning and aspirations of the youths and the grassroots.
In his response, Prof. Protus Uzorma who was represented at the occasion as Chairman of the inaugural ceremony, by Comrade Precious Nwadike, expressed delight at the able way FISA executives were piloting the affairs of the students body. He challenged them to continue to promote the culture of Isu LGA just as they did at the occasion. In addition he charged them to be law abiding and to refrain from such social vices as examination malpractices, cultism, drug addiction political thuggery, militancy etc and to mobilize for a free and fair election of credible politicians in 2015.
In his own speech, the T.C. Chairman Isu LGA, Chief Val Osuala, commended the students for promoting the culture of Isu people assuring them of the support of the Local Government for youth development and wealth creation if they remain law abiding take their studies and academic pursuit mindfully. He however made a personal cash donation of N20,000 to encourage the cultural activities of FISA.
In his own remarks, Chief Lambert Orisakwe a former Commissioner for Youth and Sports, who is aspiring to the House of Representatives admonished the students against working for or voting those who lack sound academic background into enviable political positions, boasting that he remains the most credible and best qualified to represent Isu/Njaba/Nwangele/Nkwere Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Abuja.
In his own speech, at the occasion of FISAs EXCO Inauguration, Chief Chinedu Ajonuma who received praises by the students for availing them a meeting venue at his Milton Hotel Complex Owerri, at no extra cost, took exception at the FISA’s Presidents utterance that politicians often look at the students as beggars whenever approached for assistance, and distanced  himself from such ungodly insinuation having severally accommodated and interacted with every student of Isu origin on a needs assessment level.
Also present at the occasion was Hon. Ngozi Obiefule who is interested in contesting for the Njaba State Constituency in Imo House of Assembly. She expressed satisfaction that Isu students have not lost focus on their academic pursuit since education especially for the females is all that they need to succeed in a society like ours. She then urged them to use their youthful freshness and strength to ensure that only those who will protect their interest and preserve the cultural heritage of Isu, are voted into office in 2015.
