Deejay Saquo has dedicated his 2013 Otown Gist Personality of the Year Award which was presented to him on the 10th edition of Star Nite to his late father.
It was an emotional moment for the CEO of Star Nite who in a previous interview with www.otowngist.com said he could not finish his university education at Federal University of Technology due to the death of his dad along the way.

“I actually dropped out of school due to financial crisis. I lost my parents while I was in school and when I couldn’t foot the bills for myself and my siblings, I had to step down for them to continue”

Speaking after receiving the award, he said “This is the second time I’m being honoured this year, first was the DJ of The Year Award at E-Sure Celebrity Award and now this. I am dedicating this award to almighty God for his grace; my family, especially my late dad; then to my fans”
He pointed out his deep appreciation to his fans with this words “Without you, there is no Deejay Saquo, thank you so much for the love and for voting for me”.
Some friends and members of Team Star Nite came up stage to cheer him up as he received the award.  
Speaking before the presenting the award,  the CEO, Otown Gist Entertainment, Mr Chinedu Hardy Nwadike described Deejay Saquo as someone who has helped and inspired many entertainers in Imo State, hailing the establishment of his Star Nite as one of the greatest things that happened to Imo State entertainment industry in 2013.
“Sometimes you find your dreams when you help others get close to theirs. Saquo has really provided a platform for entertainers in the state to thrive, so winning the award is a good thing for him”
Mr. Hardy also hailed the other nominees who include LMG, Acharaman, Floxy and Sammy Davis as well as everyone who voted during the three weeks poll on www.otowngist.com.
Also on the stage to introduce the winner and Hardy was Miss Rosie Young, who is a correspondent at www.otowngist.com as well as the facilitator of Otown Gist Face of the Award which was won earlier by Miss Kristy Amara.
