Ahead of the release of his single on October 30, 2013, singer U-Gems, has come open to defend number one artistes’ enemy in South East of Nigeria, LMG, saying that the rapper took a bold step to save the industry.
U-Gems lambasted the likes of Keony and those that sponsored his reply to LMG, calling Keony a coward who could not stand the world of rappers.

Keony who was formally known as Kenny C was a rapper before turning to a singer and since then has released two singles, ‘Sugar’ and ‘Wambo wambo’ which was subtitled ‘An LMG’s funeral’
According to U-Gems, Keony and his sponsors are cowards who could not come out to match the LMG’s rap prowess.
“LMG is one of the best rappers in South East, though fame has not come his way like Slow Dogg and Phyno.
For a singer to reply a rapper with a dancehall track, it makes mockery of the whole thing. Keony should have faced LMG on that track, but because he lacked lyrics, he went ahead to hit at X-Busta who had nothing to do with the whole thing.
He should not forget what LMG has done for him as an artiste and he should also understand that he took the side of makeshift rappers” He said.
He however urged Keony to do a real song if he wants to be a singer and stop being pushed around by those who offer him free studio sessions and internet promotions.
U-Gems who is Teejay, the Eleweukwu crooner’s younger brother urged artistes lambasting LMG to go back in history to see that the likes of Ruggedman, Edris Abdukarren started like that and before anyone could know it, they made the industry lively and turned superstars.
“Everyone has the right to say anything, especially when it is true, the industry has been cold, same with some artistes who sit back to enjoy family fame. We all need to lighten the industry here, it is the only way we can make people look at us.
Although dissing is not my thing, it is still one of the terms and conditions we sign as artistes. If you don’t do it, someone will do it to you” He added.
U-Gems featured LMG on his upcoming single, a gesture well returned for the role he played in LMG’s ‘Mbo’ a track that is believed to be the best of LMG so far.
