A student of department of Fine and Applied Arts department, Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education Owerri, Anurichukwuka Ogbu has urged his fellow young painters to paint with all their effort, hinting that is the only way the world would have a creative memory of them.

Speaking to O’town Gist Entertainment correspondents, the young painter lamented on the low regards the general public have for local art works, stating that most of them prefer the mechanically made ones to the raw works done with brain and brush.

The Imo State born painter stated that he is not in his department by chance, insisting that he has a calling in arts “I didn’t choose arts, it’s a calling. As a child, I loved arts and drew comics very well. I’m always happy with the brush and pencils, so I pursued that love to this stage”

Also speaking, Ogbu said that as a painter, he has exhibited in the popular Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) as well as others conducted within and outside his school.

He said he has a painting technique called ‘Inyasto’ with which he has created beautiful art works and still hopes to do more.
