Speaking to newsmen at his Egbu country home, Thursday, Mr. Nathaniel Uzodinma, a retired Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN staff and husband of the beheaded woman said that his wife had left to the farm not up to five minutes walk from their home about 9, 30 am on the fateful day to plant some maize seedlings, while himself left about 11am same morning for a burial at Mpama Egbu in the same communty.

On return from the burial at about 2pm, he discovered to his surprise that his wife was yet to return from the farm.

“After about an hour I walked to the farm land and shouted her name severally without response, Mr. Uzodinma narrated.

“I came back home, yet she was not back in the house, those at home told me she may have gone to check her other farms. At about 5pm I contacted my brother and friend Mr. Cyril Ofurum who accompanied me to the farm land the second time.

“It was then that we walked into the bush, and saw her headless body behind a shrub”.

The forlorn looking man declared that the killers of his darling wife carefully severed her head from the woman’s body and made away with the head leaving only the body.

Mr. Uzodinma explained that the body of the woman has been deposited at the mortuary while police have arrested two suspects, while investigation is still on.

Reacting on act, Pastor Ben Njoku a family friend and General overseer of Ground of Mercy and Salvation Church Ama-wire Egbu described the act as gruesome and the hand- work of ritualists who are out to make quick money by spilling other people’s blood.

The man of God maintained that  God hates evil and also rewards evil doers according to their works.

He also called on the police to be proactive in fishing out the killers of Mrs. Uzodinma even as he prayed for the repose of her soul.
