Former Nigerian Highlife Artiste of the Year, Ugo Stevenson will marking his much publicized ‘Ten Years with Ndaa Chineke’ event on November 29, 2015.

The event which will be celebrating the artistry of the Imo State born all round entertainer, will be taking place at Deo Juvante Hotels, Toronto/Road Safety junction Egbu Owerri, North Local Government Area, Imo State.

According to Ugo Stevenson who wrote on facebook saying: “It’s a celebration of the highlife music culture, and a thanksgiving outing, for our inspiring efforts as recording artistes in past ten years”, It has been a long journey with the event and there won’t be any more postponement as the show must go on.

He further narrated the reasons for the previous postponements as series of deaths which some people close to him had met.

“We have proposed to host it earlier in April, but the only Uncle I had died and the budget was appropriated for the burial.

“With the support of the publishers of TRUMPETA newspapers who came into the programme as media partners, the event was rescheduled for October 4 [2015]. Just a week to the date, the printer of the resource materials, my dear CJ [Chijioke Obinna Akubueze], passed on leaving me in the woods.

“But the devil didn’t know of the theatre law that says, THE SHOW MUST GO ON”, he said.

Ugo Stevenson then revealed that his book, ‘The Pride of the Living’, a play, will be presented to the public the same day as well as the album ‘Oke Mmadu & Nnaochie’.

He called on Imolites and all lovers of pure highlife music as well as artistry and creativity to join him en masse at the event which will revitalize the dying highlife culture especially in the South-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria.
