Few months after bagging the Blogger of the Year Award at Imo State Social Media Awards, Chinedu Hardy Nwadike on Saturday, September 5, 2015 received the Best Blog Award for his online media platform, www.otowngist.com at the just concluded Fashion Meets Music Awards.
The event which took place at The Mall Aladinma, Owerri, Imo State was part of the third edition of the Fashion Meets Music event which was put together by Whispers Magazine.
Receiving the award, Mr. Nwadike expressed his gratitude to everyone who voted for www.otowngist.com as well as other blogs who were nominated in the Best Blog category at the awards.
He said, “I am grateful to God for this success and also to everyone who voted for us. Without all of you, we could never have won. I also want to thank other blogs that were nominated for the competition they provided, but the most important thing is that together we can make people in Imo State be heard beyond our boundaries”
Hardy also urged entertainers to patronize the online media sector in the state as he believes that the practitioners in the state have what it takes to disseminate information in standard that conforms with what is obtainable today.
“If you believe in us, we will shout on your behalf and people will hear. Online media has no boundaries and we all need to take advantage of that. Everyone has something to say and in Imo State, I believe we have people who are qualified to match what we have in other parts of the country.

I have never asked for these awards, but they come which is a sign that people are seeing what we are doing at Otown Gist. The awards will not be sleeping pills for I and my team, but it will be a call that to whom much is given, much is expected of.
I have already devoted my blog to the promotion of local contents in the area of entertainment, culture, politics, religions and other angles and it won’t be changing any time soon. We will keep being the voice to many in the state and beyond. We just need your support and we will keep moving on”, he added.
Chinedu Hardy Nwadike’s www.otowngist.com won the award ahead www.alaowerri.com, www.edoziemcv.com who are also doing well in the promotion of local contents in Imo State.
