The event which will be entering its 8th year on Friday June 21, 2013 will be hosted by Wesley Methodist Church Amakaohia, in Owerri Municipal Council of Imo State.
A release by the chairman of the planning committee, Bro Obinna Okafor has it that this edition will be witnessing fresh features which have never been there before.
According to Bro Okafor who is also the Vice President of the fellowship in Orji Circuit, there will be Igbo Bible reading competition, gifts for best dressed male and female in African attire as well as ‘Ada/Opara’ [Mr/Miss] Africa.
He added that the essence of the bible reading competition is to encouraged youths to read and speak Igbo language which is currently under threat of extinction amongst youths of today as well as make them understand that God can still be worshiped sincerely with our native languages.
He also hinted that the gifts and other competitions will open the eyes of the youth in the area of indecent dressing.
“People can still dress decently and be beautiful or handsome and want to make them understand that. While all these will bring many of us to the event, the word of God which is the ultimate thing will be shared to everyone. This is how we win souls for Christ in line with our motto; go ye into all the world and preach the gospel” he concluded.
Other features of the praise and worship night include songs and drama ministration by host church and guests while some artistes are also expected to perform at the event which will kick off from 9:00 PM lasting till dawn.
The dress code is strictly African attire while putting decency in mind and the release has it that indecent dressing will not be tolerated at the event.
Ministers expected at the event include Very Revd J. A Mbah, the Circuit Presbyter; Revd. Christian E Udeagha, the Circuit Youth Work Coordinator; Revd Neo Ejimofor, guest speaker amongst others.
