Why artistes need to support O’town best mixtape

Following the success of his last mixtape titled ‘O’town best mixtape’, Dj Timberland took a decision to continue with the mixtape which is aimed at promoting songs produced in Owerri.
The mixtape whose first edition was released as a birthday gift for artistes in Owerri from the DJ when he celebrated his birthday last year will continue because he believes having a thing like that will really help the town.

“I never believed it could be a successful project until I started receiving responses, from people within and beyond the city.
All I want to do is to continue with it since it will surely help the town and artistes as well”
Although the first edition was marred by low submission from artistes, which caused the mixtape to have less than 50% of songs from Imo State based artistes, Tims, believes the second edition will be more successful than the first.
“I know my mixes go far in terms of downloads and locations, so I had to take advantage of that to do something no one has ever done for town. The city is growing, and will grow faster if we all join hands to build it.
So I urge the artistes to swallow their pride and make that little move of submitting their songs” he added.
O’town Best Mixtape is the first ever mixtape dedicated to Imo State based artistes and its success will depend on the support from artistes themselves and the only thing they need to do is to submit their songs to Dj Timberland via [email protected] or call 08035636965.
The mixtape will be released online on March 8, 2013.
