Justice Esiri’s death: God spare us, AGN cries out.

The National Vice President South-East of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Chief Ikechukwu Ezenagu has described the death of veteran Nollywood actor, Justice Esiri as another big minus in the movie industry of Nigeria.
Chief Ezanagu made the statement while speaking to www.otowngist.com in Owerri yesterday. He described late Esirim who died on Feb. 18, from an undisclosed ailment as a worthy veteran and one of the best in the industry yet was was charging little or nothing to see that the industry grows.

“It is quite unfortunate that he had to die when he was supposed to be reaping the fruit of his labour. We know there is a God who knows the best and so we at the South-East AGN pray that his soul will rest in the bosom of the almighty lord”
He also described members of the AGN especially the veterans as golden fishes with no place to hide and pleaded with God to reduce the rate of death in Nollywood.
“There is death in every sector in the world, but ours is always prominent and we pray that death will cease to visit us regularly”
The former Anambra State AGN chairman also urged the general public to expunge the notion that the regime of the current AGN president, Miss Ibinabo Fibersima  is bringing deaths to the industry, saying that people can die anytime in anybody’s regime.
“I will say that Ibinabo’s regime has brought AGN good luck because AGN is moving forward since then.
Death is an end everyone must meet and we must not question God when it come because He alone knows the best.
In a great forum and family like AGN with elders and younger ones, it is ideal that the elders will leave before the younger ones, but not as frequent as we are seeing it, that is why we all have to pray to God”
Also speaking, the Imo State Chairman of AGN, Mr Conac Umez Chibueze said that Justus Esiri’s death is not just a loss for Nollywood but the entire country praying that God will visit Nollywood  to reduce the frequency of the deaths.
Justus Esiri’s death on Feb. 18 comes after Collins Ifeanyi, an Abuja based Nollywood actor, died on February15;  Lugard Onoyemu, a Pioneer member of Lagos State chapter of  AGN and Goldie Harvey both died on February 14.
