My abductors will die – Nkiru Silvanus

Nkiru Silvanus

Nollywood actress cum aide to governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, Nkiru Silvanus, who was recently kidnapped and released has made it clear that her abductors will surely die.

Nkiru made this statement while rendering a testimony during a thanksgiving service at the Government House Chapel Owerri on Sunday, December 23, 2012.

Narrating her story, the fair skinned actress said she will not tell the pity side of her story, but the glory side of it, which will eventually give glory to God.

She said that although it was an ugly experience, the fact that there is a God who is mightier than any kidnapper made them hold on till the last momemt.

“Our prayers frightened the kidnappers and when we were leaving there, one of the kidnappers and their native doctor came begging me to forgive them, because they have seen their end the previous night.

I am not afraid of kidnappers but sorry for anyone that will kidnap me, because I will be the last person he would be kidnapping before his end”

She went ahead to thank God for using her to reveal the den of those kidnappers.

“According to one of them, they have been keeping people  there since 2009, but I told them I would be the last person they would be keeping there, and I thank God for using me to reveal them because they have seen their end” she added.

Going by the stories online, Nkiru’s family paid N8 million Naira ransom to the kidnapper without the knowledge of the police, which prompted her release with her fellow abductee, Opara Imo, who was also present at the thanksgiving service.

Nkiru did not talk about how she was released and the terms that prompted her release by the kidnappers who held her for days in an unknown forest.

In his speech, Imo State governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha hailed Nkiru’s courage to shake off the trauma from the experience of being kidnapped and urged her to live her life freely without fear, stating that what kills people before the real death is fear.

Nkiru Silvanus was seen dancing freely during the service, an evidence that she has gotten over the trauma. All she need now is to regain the lost weight, which prompted the governor to make a joke the she was ready to attend a beauty pageant.
