George takes Nigerian fashion, culture to Dubai

In a bid to mark his name on the world’s entertainment map, ace fashion and culture promoter Buchi George is set to take Nigerian culture and fashion to the world in his upcoming event tagged Ebony Fashion Festival and Award.

Speaking to www.otowngist.com on the aim of the event which is billed to hold at Land Mark Hotels, Daira Dubai, United Arab Emirates from October 25 -27, 2012, he said that the vision is in line with the rebranding of Nigeria, in the area of fashion.

“The event will end up exporting the culture and fashion of Nigeria to the people of U.A.E and others who will be attending the event. People might know Nigeria for so many negative things, but this event will show the world that Nigerians are good people and a great nation as well”

The event will feature the best Nigerian designers like Modela, Zalima, Steva Ray, Alvis, HOG, and others.

“We chose to project the best because we want to show the world that we can compete with the best in the fashion business. Because we don’t want the event to lack African flavour in any way, we have chosen Derele Edu of Channel O and Charles Dimitre as presenters, while Inyanya will also be performing at the event”

The event is packaged by Buchi George’s Headline Group, Cape Town South Africa, which is using the U.A.E event to create awareness for its Miss Top Model Africa in Hilton Algiers, Algeria in conjunction with Mustague Communication Algeria and Face of World Pageant, South African in conjunction with South African Tourism Board. Both event will be taking place June and April 2013 respectively.
